Unofficial Online VMware User Group #1

Yesterday I launched the first Unofficial Online VMware User Group, this included presentations and demonstrations from both Scott Herold (Quest) and Aaron Sweemer (VMware).

I was very happy with the numbers, peak attendance was around 35-40 which is not a bad number for the first show.

Scott gave a great demonstration of The VESI which was a great hit with all, following this Aaron gave us an overview of the new features and enhancements that vSphere is delivering.

As this was the first UOVMUG there were a few issues and a few observations, please let me know what you think and any way we can improve this via the comments at the bottom of this page.

My thoughts for next time:

• Add a chat window or ‘open mic’ to enable more interaction
• 45 mins per each presenter, 15 mins intro and 10 mins exit
• More giveaways !
